SHILLONG: The Election Department on Monday issued the official notification for the Rajya Sabha by-poll in the State on April 18.
Confirming this, a senior official in the Assembly informed that filing of nominations would continue till April 8, while adding that the nomination papers would be available in the Assembly from Tuesday onwards.
The official also informed that nominations can be withdrawn till April 11.
Voting will be held from 9 AM to 4 AM on April 18 and counting of votes will take place on the same day from 5 PM, the official added.
