SHILLONG: Rangdajied United FC coach Khlain P Syiemlieh feels that his team are in for a tough fight against Bhawanipore FC when the two teams clash in their 2nd Division I-League final round match in Bangalore on Tuesday.

“Our opponents for tomorrow are a strong side but we will give our best to earn full points,” Syiemlieh said on the eve of their outing against Bhawanipore, adding, “we are preparing to overcome our first match draw and go for a win.”

In their last fixture, on Saturday, Rangajied were held by Kolkata’s Southern Samity 1-1. It was Rangajied who scored first in the 30th minute before conceding an equaliser in the 50th minute.

“We will try not to repeat the same mistake and try to win full points,” Rangdajied’s coach said.

When asked to comment on the performance of Bhawanipore skipper, Brazilian Jose Ramirez Baretto, in his club’s match on Sunday, former Meghalaya striker Syiemlieh said, “players of Baretto’s calibre cannot be given a chance; he might not have clicked on Sunday, but he might click on Tuesday, so we will have to keep a keen eye on him.”

On the chances of Babatunde playing on Tuesday he said, “Baba is doing well and we will decide on Tuesday morning after the physio has a session with him.”

Babatunde was taken to hospital following an injury in the second half of the match against Southern Samity, but returned to the club’s hotel on the same day.
