SHILLONG: Laban Bengalee Boys HS School defeated The Shillong Secondary School by 38 runs while St Anthony’s HS School defeated St Xavier’s Secondary School by 36 runs in the 8th IP Das Memorial (Junior under 16) Inter School Cricket Tournament on Tuesday.
In the first match, Laban Bengalee Boys won the toss and elected to bat. They made 131-9 in 20 overs. Ajay Goswami scored 33 while Neeraj Dey took 3-18. In reply, Shillong SS were restricted to 93-9 in 20 overs. Shiva took 3-22.
In the second match, St Anthony’s won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 117-5 in 20 overs. Shahil Hussain made 33 while Aditya took 2-21. St Xavier’s were then all out for 81 in 20 overs. Akash Mattu scored 21 and Shivam Chettri took 3-22.
