Guwahati: The Assam police on Wednesday arrested seven militants belonging to Rabha National Army (RNA) from Azara area near Guwahati city along with two arms dealers from Byrnihat in Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya.

Police recovered one AK-56 assault rifle, one .22 revolver, five mobile phones, Rs one lakh in cash and two vehicles from their possession.

Police informed that the RNA militants were on their way to buy arms and ammunition from arms dealers in Meghalaya.
