SHILLONG: Keeping GNLA Chairman Champion Sangma in Jail has become a headache for the jail authorities.

After more CCTV cameras were installed in the premises of his cell to monitor his movement, the angry rebel leader threw stones at one of the main cameras recently, sources said on Wednesday, adding that this resulted in the camera recording only partial views of Sangma.

Later, the jail staff rectified the position of the camera.

Moreover, the jail authorities also received inputs that Sangma used to interact with his cadres through two cell phones from the jail. A search was carried out by the jail staff, but nothing could be recovered.
