‘Sach Ka Ayina’ released

SHILLONG: A book “Sach Ka Ayina” was released at a programme organized by Purvotar Hindi Academy, Shillong at Viswaratna Hotel in Guwahati on Sunday. This book was written by Chandra Prakash Poddar hailing from Guwahati. The book was released by senior journalist cum former president of Assam Sahitya Sabha Kanak Sen Deka. In his address Deka stressed on the contribution of the Marwari community in Assam in particular and in other states of the northeast in general. He also congratulated the Purvottar Hindi academy and poet Poddar on the occasion for their contribution towards the society. On the occasion a number of poets from Assam and Meghalaya recited their poems. The gathering was welcomed by the Academy president Mr. Bimal Kumar Bajaj, others who spoke on the occasion include GL publications publisher GL Agarwal, Assam DG GM Srivastava, Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) regional officer N. Munish Singh, Fancy Bazar Sahitya Sabha president Ram Niranjan Goenka, Shree Poddar Madal Bhawani president Rajendra Kumar Poddar, Shillong Marwari Panchayat secretary Omprakash Agarwal and The Northeast Today Managing Editor Rajoo Sharma from Shillong. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Vijay Kumar Poddar.
