Ban on HNLC: Tribunal fixes argument date

SHILLONG: The Registrar Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Tribunal, Delhi High Court on Thursday fixed the date for arguments regarding extension of the ban on the HNLC, in New Delhi on April 14.

Official sources informed that the date of argument was fixed after completion of the two-day hearing on Thursday.

Official sources informed that on Thursday the Tribunal recorded the statement of the Union Home Deputy Secretary and the Commissioner and Secretary of the Political department.

The Tribunal will decide whether the ban imposed on the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) should be extended or not after the completion of the arguments, official sources added.
