SHILLONG: Two youth from the Khasi film industry – Johnny Ryntathiang, a Khasi actor, and Cores Marwein, a Khasi producer and director – will be competing in the Super Fight League (SFL), to be held in Mumbai from April 12.

SFL is a mixed martial arts programme based in India.

In March, the MMA organisation, Martial Showdown, a new martial arts body in Meghalaya, sent both fighters to the SFL boot camp organised in Nasik.

Ryntathiang is General Secretary of Martial Showdown, while Marwein is Publicity Secretary.

“The camp bore good fruits as Ryntathiang and Marwein were selected to enter the main event fight of the SFL Season 16 to be held on April 12 at 9pm and which will be telecast on Star Sports,” Meghalaya Film Maker Association president Commander Shangpliang said.

The Association extended their best wishes to both and hoped that the two would emerge victorious and bring laurels to the State.
