Hek, Pala meet Union Min for Wahumkhrah management project

NEW DELHI: Minister AL Hek and MP Vincent Pala, who earlier held the portfolio of Water Resources in the State and the Centre respectively met the Union Minister for Water Resources Harish Rawat here on Monday and submitted a reminder letter to him for Wahumkhrah Umshyrpi River management project for immediate consideration and sanction.

The leaders met the minister on the sidelines of inaugural function of India Water Week, organized by Ministry of Water Resources at Vigyan Bhawan.

During the meeting, the status of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of the Wahumkhrah project was discussed.

As many as 10 DPRs had already been submitted to the Director, Regional Office of Central Water Commission (CWC), Guwahati. The DPRs were cleared by the Guwahati Regional Office.
