Religious discourse

ISKCON devotees from 31 countries will visit Shillong on April 10. In this regard, the Central Puja Committee has chalked out the programmes during the day-long visit to Shillong starting with the procession from Rajasthan Vishram Bhawan, Lukier Road-Police Bazaar-Governor’s House culminating at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture at 2pm followed by a felicitation of ISKCON devotees by CPC, religious discourse, and cultural programme by Russian ISKCON devotees to be held at Sri Aurobindo Ashram from 5pm.

No Entry

The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills has informed that the stretch from Lawmali towards Polo Hills adjacent to CRPF gate via Pasture BH is declared No Entry and vehicles coming from Polo Hills towards Lawmali are allowed to enter.

Ganja seized

On specific inputs, BSF of Barsora on Sunday seized 14 kgs of ganja worth Seventy thousand while it was being smuggled to Bangladesh.

Programme

BSF will organise a civic action programme in the border areas on April 10 and 11 at 10am at Gumaghat, South West Khasi Hills and Bholaganj in East Khasi Hills respectively. Medical camps will also be organised at both the places.
