SRWP facing delay from several quarters

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma has stated that the implementation of the Special Rural Works Programme (SRWP) is a mixed picture as there are issues of delays in submission of schemes, execution of projects and others.

Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma made the statement while replying to the debate on the Governor’s address in the Assembly on Monday.

While stating that the issues need to be address, Dr Mukul Sangma said that the MLAs should take optimal advantage of the programmes which are being implemented for rural areas.
