SHILLONG: The indefinite hunger strike staged by qualified but unemployed Grade-IV candidates under the banner of the Association of Qualified Grade-IV-2011 took a new turn after the agitators were asked to vacate the Student’s Field in Jaiaw as the same had already been booked by the Fellowship Church compelling them to shift to Polo on Wednesday, despite failing to get permission from the district administration.

As the hunger strike entered the second day on Wednesday, agitators rued the non-compliance of the government to address their grievances and warned that they would continue with their agitation at Polo despite not having received permission for the same.

The Association has so far sent five representations to the government without any result.
