BSF apprehend FICN racketeer

SHILLONG: The BSF on Thursday apprehended two Bangladeshi fake Indian currency racketeers Almas Faroq (18) and Mohd Bhutto Miya (35) hailing from Sherpur district of Bangladesh near the border pillar at South West Garo Hills. The BSF recovered fake Indian currency valued at Rs 8,500 and Bangladeshi taka 8,349, 400 and two cell phones. The BSF troops of Dawki deployed in West Jaintia Hills district apprehended one Indian national identified as Ritu Rilutwikitang (23) with a truck (ML-05-C4118), while it was returning from Bangladesh after unloading coal.

During search, the BSF recovered Bangladeshi Taka 1,60,000, Indian currency of Rs 63,700 and two cell phones with two Indian SIM cards.
