BANGALORE: Langsning FC came from behind to beat ten-men Rangdajied United FC 4-2 in a first leg match of the Second Division I-League at Bangalore Football Stadium here on Friday.
After this win, Langsning have seven points in their kitty while Rangdajied are at four points.
It was Rangdajied which drew first blood in the fourth minute when its Korean striker Shin Hojun found the nets from 30 yards.
They doubled the lead in the 23rd minute when Nagen Tamang guided Bansharai Sunn’s cross into the nets.
In the 33rd minute referee Arun Pillai awarded a spot kick in favour of Langsning when E Abocha Singh brought down Joel Sunday Ayeni inside the box.
Taking the shot, Nigerian Joel drove home making it 1-2 for Langsning. The first half, however, ended with Rangdajied leading by a goal.
Crossing over, Langsning equalised in the 61st minute when skipper Daniel Bidemi Ayen headed home a Moirangthem Ashok Singh half volley into the nets.
In the 68th minute referee Arun Pillai gave marching orders to En-Loveday Okechokwu, who was booked twice, to reduce Rangdajied to ten-men.
Langsning forwards maintained the pressure as Daniel and Joel converted in the 84th and 88th minutes to turn the game in their favour. Joel dribbled past three defenders to romp home and give his side a crucial victory. On Monday Rangdajied will take on Bhawanipore FC.
