Condolence

In two seperate meetings on March 13 and April 10, the members of Sanatan Dharmasava (Harisava) condoled the death of two of their prominent members, Sunil Roy Choudhury and Monojit Chakraborty. Speakers paid rich tribute and recalled their immense sacrifices for the institution of Harisava. Choudhury was a pioneer in moderen days Puja celebration and Chakraborty was a devoted worker of Harisava.

Programme

BSF organized a Civic Action Programme on Friday in the areas of Muktapur, West Jaintia Hills. Around 500 people from village Dawki, Bakur, Hal Thimai, Nayabazar, Nongskhen, Lyngkhat and other areas participated.

Holiday

All State Government offices and all revenue and magisterial courts and educational institutions in East Khasi hills will remain closed on April 15 on account of Shad Suk Mynsiem.

Cultural event

Bangiya Sahitya Paris-had will organise “Borsho-Sesh” and Bosrsho Boron, two cultural events on April 14 at 4:30 pm and April 15 at 9 am onwards on the occasion of Bengali new year.
