SHILLONG: Both Shillong teams will kick off the final leg of the 2nd Division I-League on Monday in Bangalore, with Rangdajied United FC taking on Bhawanipore FC and Langsning FC clashing with Mohammedan Sporting.

At the end of the first leg Mohammedan Sporting are at the top of the points table with 10 followed by Bhawa-nipore and Mumbai Tigers with nine points each.

Langsing have seven points, Rangdajied four points and Southern Samity are the bottom of the table with two points.

In the final leg of the tournament all the teams will be taking on each other and the top two will qualify for the I-League next season.

During their first leg match Bhawanipore had pipped Rangdajied by a solitary goal even though it was the Shillong side who had dominated the game.

“It is a do or die situation for us. If we can win full points then we still have a chance but if vice versa then we will not have any hope of booking an I-League berth next season,” Rangdajied assistant coach Khlain P Syiemlieh said.

Rangdajied will miss the service of Em-Loveday who received a red card in the last match against Langsning.

On the other hand Langsning had also gone down to the Kolkata side 1-2 in their previous leg tie.

“This is the final stage of the tournament and I am confident that the boys will give their best to win every point in the leg,” Langsning Technical Director L Darlong said.
