U19 cricket: Edmundians, Budha Vidyala taste victory

SHILLONG: St Edmund’s defeated St Nanak Secondary School while Budha Vidyala defeated Ramkrishna mission in league matches of the 5th Babu Ondromoni Dkhar Memorial (Under-19) Inter School Cricket Tournament 2013, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, at the Cricket Grounds, Polo.

In the first match, St Edmund’s won the toss and elected to bat, but due to heavy rain, the match was reduced to 12 overs a side wherein St Edmund’s scored 72runs for the loss of three wickets. Subham top-scored with 32 runs.

In reply, St Nanak were all out in 10.5 overs for 49 runs. St Edmund’s won the match by 23 runs.

In the second match, Budha Vidyala elected to bat and scored 138-9 in 25 overs. Pankaj scored 48 runs. In reply Ramakrishna were all out for 38 runs in 10 overs. Budha Vidyala won by a massive 100 runs.
