Missing person’s body recovered

 SHILLONG: The body of one Jonhbir Kachary hailing from Assam’s Dudhnoi, was found at Rongmil Hills in East Garo Hills. Kachary had gone missing since April 16.

According to police, Kachary had left for Williamnagar on April 16 with one of his friends. He drove an Alto car bearing number AS -18 7015.

The relatives said that Kachary made several calls on April 16. However, since evening of April 16, Kachary stopped making calls.

Failing to contact Kachary for two days, his brother filed an FIR with Doronggre Police Station in Goalpara district, which is along Assam – Meghalaya border.

After search, Meghalaya Police recovered a body from Rongmil Hills in East Garo Hills on Monday morning at 8:30 am, which is believed to be of Kachary,

Now, Police are investigating to find out who had accompanied the victim and are also trying to trace the missing car.
