Second probe report to be submitted this week

 SHILLONG: The report of the Administrative inquiry headed by Commissioner of Division, RV Suchiang, to probe the violence that erupted during the KSU sponsored awakening rally on April 4 would be submitted to the Government within this week.

Suchiang on Monday said that police personnel, KSU members and magistrates have deposed before the inquiry and have been duly examined.

The inquiry was given fifteen days to submit its report to the Government.

On the other hand, the magisterial inquiry conducted by Additional District Magistrate, DM Wahlang, has already completed its probe and submitted the report to the Government. The probe established the role of KSU activists in the violence that erupted during the procession on Khasi National Awakening day.
