SHILLONG: Meghalaya Director General of Police (DGP) Prem Singh on Tuesday denied that he has any intention of going for Central deputation. He also categorically denied having written any letter in this regard.

Earlier, Singh had written letters to the State Government not to include his name in the panel shortlisted by the State Security Commission.

Asked to comment on this, Singh said, “This topic is immaterial, what I want to make clear is that I have not written any letter to go on Central deputation.”

However, a Home department official said that Singh had written two letters expressing his displeasure at being nominated as DGP by the State Security Commission.
