Another student abducted in EJH

 JOWAI: Another kidnapping case in East Jaintia Hills was reported on Saturday from Ladrymbai area.

Sources informed that, this time again, the kidnappers abducted not the son of the rich but that of a milkman.

According to a source, the kidnappers on Friday abducted an 18-year-old boy, Krishna Sah, a student of Good Shepherd Secondary School, Ladrymbai, who is awaiting his SSLC results.

According to sources, Mohan Sah who hailed from Bihar- a milkman who is the father of the victim came to know that his son was kidnapped only when he got a phone call from an unknown number.

“The caller called him at around 11 am Saturday and informed his father that his son have been abducted to Dimapur and the kidnappers demanded Rs. 30 lakh for his safe release”, sources said.

The father tried to explain the caller that being a milkman he could not afford to pay the amount.

In the past four months since January, East Jaintia Hills Police have registered seven cases of kidnappings.
