Strong winds wreak havoc

 SHILLONG: Strong winds uprooted many huge pine trees at Nongrah on Thursday night.

Sources informed that the pine trees which have been uprooted are those inside the forest areas at Nongrah.

According to sources, pine trees near the house of one resident of the locality collapsed but luckily there was no damage. Sources also informed that there has been a total darkness in the locality. Unconfirmed reports suggest that the strong winds uprooted the roof of some of houses in the locality besides damaging several vehicles in the locality.
