The accused, Vivek Narwani made an allegation that the Shillong-based media persons pelted stones and hit him while he was being brought to the Court of the Judicial Magistrate here on Saturday, a fact declared baseless by the advocates and police who had escorted him to the court, coupled with footages and photographs.
It may be mentioned that this is the first time that such statements were made against the press.
