SHILLONG: The State BJP has asked the former Education Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh to step down to enable the scrutiny committee to complete the investigation on the tampering of mark sheets of the LP school teachers.

In a statement issued here on Friday, the BJP general secretary Dipayan Chakraborty said that the Government’s decision to extend the scrutiny panel on teachers’ recruitment scam is a matter of concern.

“We reiterate that all the public representatives including the former Education Minister should resign and allow the scrutiny committee to complete the investigation at the earliest”, Chakraborty added.
