Youth killed over alleged affair

 TURA: In a gruesome incident a youth was hacked to death by a man at Bonepa Atilla near here on Saturday last for allegedly having an affair with his wife.

Taposh D Sangma (27), a resident of New Tura Upper Matchakolgre, was killed with a dagger by one Brejick Sangma who reportedly caught the deceased in a compromising position with his wife, Didi Muni Marak, at the latter’s rented house in Bonepa Atilla.

Taposh was employed as a driver by Brejick, a primary school teacher at Rongara in South Garo Hills.

Brejick later surrendered himself at the Chandmary Police Beat House.

According to sources, on the fateful day, Brejick arrived from Rongara and found his wife and the driver in a compromising position. Enraged, he hacked the driver to death with a dagger he reportedly always carried. The victim was rushed to the Tura Civil Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
