FKJGP leader selected for National Youth Award

 SHILLONG: A leader of the FKJGP, Kitboklang Nongphlang, will be presented the National Youth Award by President Pranab Mukherjee in a function to be held in New Delhi.

Nongphlang, who is the president of the FKJGP Upper-Shillong circle since 2005, was selected amongst 15 others from all over the country for his contribution to the society in the field of health, national integration and community development.

Nongphlang who has also been honoured with the District Youth Leader Award (East Khasi Hills District) in 2005-06, the State Youth Leader Award awarded to him by the NYKS, Meghalaya Zone-Ministry Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, is also the education secretary, FKJGP central body.

Expressing joy over his selection, Nongphlang told The Shillong Times “I am excited to receive this award and this is the fruit of my hardwork and I will continue to strive for betterment of the people of my state.”

The FKJGP also congratulated Nongphlang for the achievement.
