ICSE results declared

 SHILLONG: The Indian Certificate of School Examinations (ICSE), 2013 results saw outstanding success in Shillong with three prominent institutes- Loreto Convent, Pine Mount School and the Meghalaya Police Public School (MPPS) recording cent per cent pass percentage.

The results which were declared on Friday witnessed many schools securing high pass percentage like Shillong Public School with 93 per cent while St. Edmund’s School recorded a success percentage of 84.04 per cent.

Loreto Convent had 85 examinees and Pine Mount School had 103 while St. Edmund’s School had 133 examinees in total.

Meghalee Bose of Loreto Convent secured 97 per cent (best of five subjects) while Naved Nagi of St. Edmund’s School secured 95 per cent and Shawli Deb of Pine Mount secured 91.8 per cent in the examination.

Of the 12 students from Shillong Public School, Melampynshai Nongrum topped his classmates with 90 per cent while all the 44 examinees of Meghalaya Police Public School secured cent percent pass percentage.

Whereas, in the Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations (Arts and Science streams), Pine Mount school bagged the top position.

Betty Lalrinseli (Arts) from Pine Mount School topped the school list with 94.75 per cent while also securing 100 marks in political science.

Ribhalina Lyngdoh Pale and Phibakor Wanshnong (science) with 81 per cent each topped the science stream.
