Annual festival

The North Eastern Regional Community Resource Management project (NERCORMP) will organise its annual festival Neat Fest from May 21-24 at the All Saints Cathedral Hall, IGP Point. The fest will be inaugurated by NEC Secretary Ameising Luikham.

 Meeting

All Meghalaya Assamese Association has invited all members belonging to Assamese community in Shillong to its general body meeting on May 26 at 3 pm at Laban Namghar complec. The executive body will be re-constituted.

 Programme

The Anti-Terrorism Day will be observed at the Rilang building on May 21 at 11am. The state forest and environment department will conduct a programme to celebrate international day for Biodiversity on May 22 at U Soso Tham Auditorium from 10am onwards in which Forest Minister P Tynsong will be present as the chief guest.

 Workshop

A two-day orientation workshop organised by the Social welfare department will be held on May 28-29 at the Training Hall Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah at 9am.

 Convocation

The NIFT will organise its 2nd Convocation, 2013 at NEHU Convention Hall on May 23 at 5pm. Sericulture Minister Zenith Sangma will be present as the chief guest.

 Congratulations

The State President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Khlur Singh Lyngdoh has congratulated S Wansuk Myrthong for being the first Khasi Lady to reach the Mount Everest.
