Youth dies under mysterious circumstances

 JOWAI: A 22-year-old youth, waiting for his Class XII MBoSE result from Thomas Jones Synod College died inside his own vehicle mysteriously, Maruti Car ML04A-5965 at Ladthadlaboh on Monday.

The youth suspected to be a drug addict, was found dead inside his car while sleeping on the back seat. Upon inspection, a deadly poisonous snake believed to be a viper was found lying on the dashboard. He was found dead with blood coming out from his nose and mouth. He parked his vehicle near an automobile workshop opposite to Woodland clinic. The owner of the Automobile workshop first spotted the body of the youth at around 10 am. As soon as the news about the incident spread, people from the area collected to witness the incident but none of them could ascertain the cause of death.

Many were of the view that the snake possibly bit him and after killing the snake, he succumbed to its poison.

Police moved the body to Jowai Civil Hospital and according to the opinion of the doctor, the youth died due to overdose.
