Drug peddlers apprehended

 SHILLONG: City police busted three drug peddlers-cum-users from Golflink in the late afternoon of May 24 when they were busy consuming drugs in one corner.

According to the police, the peddlers identified as Santosh Rai, Suresh Thapa and Khrawbok Sylliang were arrested by city patrol following suspicion of practicing unwanted activities after they ran away on being investigated.

Soon after, police seized one local taxi (ML-05E-5030), one Golden Tobacco container, with 1.11 gram suspected Heroin, three empty containers and one burnt silver foil.

The accused has been booked under Sec 22 and 27 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) for possession and consumption of drugs.
