SHILLONG: The KHNAM has expressed serious concern over the plight of students seeking admissions in different colleges in Shillong, especially in St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School.

Alleging lack of transparency in the admission procedure in St Edmund’s, the KHNAM in a statement issued here stated that out of the 240 seats in the Science stream, only 91 were declared and made public. The remaining 149 seats, however, were allotted through spot admissions, list for which was never displayed, the KHNAM said.

The KHNAM also warned other schools and colleges to be transparent in matters relating to admission of students.
