NONGSTOIN: Irked by the frequent disappearance of the Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) during office hours, the HANM Nongstoin Circle issued a stern warning to the MVI, C Ryngngad of West Khasi Hills District.

Members of the HANM West Khasi Hills visited the DTO’s office on two occasions and found the MVI absent on both occasions. The people said that the MVI came to the office only on Thursdays. Lyngkhoi requested the govt to post officers who were willing to work and also requested the govt to post E Lyngdoh, the previous MVI, who he felt was a responsible and sincere officer.
