Shillong: American rock band Hoobastank are all set to perform at the Polo grounds here for their maiden tour to India later this month.

Best known for their hit number ‘The reason’, which ranked number two at the ‘Billboard hot 100’ list in 2004, the band will perform in the Meghalaya capital on June 29 in an event being organised to celebrate the sixth anniversary of city-based magazine ‘The North East Today’.

The band comprising Doug Robb (Lead Vocal), Dan Estrin (Guitarist), Chris Hesse (Drum), Markku Lappalainen (Bassist) would enthral the rock music lovers of Shillong for three hours, TNT managing editor Rajoo Sharma said.

Ticket sale will be announced at a later date. The organisers would give five free tickets daily for which the fans must answer questions about the band on TNT Facebook page. (PTI)
