JOWAI: The move to transfer West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commisioner, PS Dkhar has met resentment from various NGOs including the All Jaintia Youth Welfare Organisation (AJYWO) and also the Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF).

“We met the Deputy Commissioner and enquired about the plan to remove him from West Jaintia Hills, but the DC told us that he has not received any order till date”, the JYF said in a press released issued here.

“We strongly condemn the government for planning to remove the DC from West Jaintia Hills District”, the statement added.

The WJH DC has come to Jaintia Hills for only eleven months now and the move to transfer him from West Jaintia Hills is unfair.

The JYF believed that the government is planning to remove WJH DC on behest of a group of selfish people who only think for their own interest and not for the interest of the District.

“The people has no complaint against PS DKhar as the DC in West Jaintia Hills he is serving the District well and we will strongly protest if the government decided to transfer him from WJH”, the JYF said.
