Fake documents seized

Following a complaint from Dr (Miss) A.J Syngkon, SM&HO, on June 14, Magistrate and Rynjah Police raided the Meghalaya Studio at Rynjah, Shillong and recovered fake Birth Certificates printed in the studio. In this connection, Police arrested one Laba Kumar Taid and also seized one computer.

Theft

lOn June 13 at about 9 am, unknown miscreants stole construction tools valued around Rs. 5,100 from the construction site belonging to one Stephan Kharbuli at Khliehshnong, Malki.

lOne Zonvana Hrange lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on June 12, he withdrew Rs. 1,000 from a SBI ATM at Laitumkhrah. However, an SMS alert informed him that an amount of Rs. 7,000 has been debited from his account.

Miscreant arrested

One Ramjee Prasad Gupta lodged a complaint at Dalu PS that on June 10, two unidentified miscreants went to his house at Purakhasia Bazar (WGH) and demanded Rs. 50,000 from him. However, the complainant managed to apprehend one of the accused, Bregio M. Marak, who was later arrested by the Police.

Cheating Case

One Violet Phawa lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that Kunti Limbu cheated her of Rs. 11 lakh (Rupees Eleven lakh) only, in the year 2012.
