TURA: The Tura Government College Students Union (TGCSU) on Monday issued a clarification stating that they had only picketed the College and had not intended to obstruct the ongoing examinations at the IGNOU Study Center located opposite the college on June 11 and 12 last. The clarification comes after allegations that IGNOU students were not allowed to enter the IGNOU Study Center Premises by the Union.

While clarifying that the Union was genuinely working for the welfare of the student fraternity TGCSU General Secretary Balkarin Ch Marak stated that the picketing was done because the office staff had refused to accommodate the morning shift students and allegedly misbehaved with them.
