SHILLONG: The MPCC has taken serious note of the slanderous campaign unleashed by an NPP legislator, James Sangma, aimed at maligning the good name of Chief Minister, Dr Mukul Sangma.

“This also appears to be a well designed campaign by a frustrated and vested group of individuals. It is clear that having failed to stop the onward march of the State under the leadership of the Chief Minister; they have resorted to petty, sub standard and unethical practices,” the MPCC said in a statement issued here on Friday. The MPCC also condemned the attempt to personalize a political agenda even targeting the sacrosanct image of parenthood.
