Arrest
lPolice arrested one Johnny Rynjah (23) and Inestar Kharsyntiew (22) in connection with assaulting a woman.
lOn June 22, one Marphil Rymbai was apprehended while he was trying to steal a cell-phone from a labourer at Seinraij Complex, Jowai (WJH).
Attack
On June 23 at around 8 pm, one Elias Janong (30) was stabbed with a knife by unknown person at Khliehiewduh. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and shifted to CH Shilling.
Assault
One Sultana Parbeen lodged a complaint that on June 23 at around 7 pm, two persons, Abul Kalam Azad and Azad Uddin assaulted her at her shop at Glory Plaza, Police Bazar. They also snatched away one bag containing Rs. 15,000 and documents.
Robbery attempt
On June 22 at around 8 pm, one Biangdor Lyngdoh broke into the residence of one Vincent Nongdhar at New Nongstoin (WKH) and attempted to forcibly open one steel almirah. Police arrested the accused.
Theft
BP Bajoria lodged a complaint that on June 22, unknown miscreants stole motor parts from a bus (ML-05D-5574) parked at Lukier Road, Shillong.
Rape attempt
On June 21 at around 1:20 pm, two persons, Embhah Dkhar and Taining Phawa attempted to rape a woman at Khliehtyrshi (WJH).
