Threat case
On June 24, A. Kharsyntiew, president of the Seng Longkmie, New Nongstoin and others lodged a complaint that one Robert Thabah (35) for threatened her and other members. Police arrested the accused.
lOn June 20 at around 6 pm, one Emanuel Mynthlu confined one woman, Gracyful Phawa in her shop at Ladrymbai (EJH) and also threatened her with dire consequences.
lBajop Pyngrope of Kimfa Restaurant, Malki lodged a complaint that on June 20, one employee of the restaurant, Suniram Daimary destroyed the wiring of the restaurant and also threatened him with dire consequences. Police arrested the accused.
Abduction
On June 23 at around 6 pm, unidentified miscreants abducted one Acholas Thakur in a Maruti Alto car (ML-04A-5072) from Ladrymbai (EJH) and demanded Rs. 10 lakh as ransom for his release. Police rescued the victim and also arrested, Rimi Nongtdu, Justing Sutnga, Saibor Nongtdu and Miki Pala.
Theft
On June 23 at around 9 pm, unidentified miscreants (6/7) in a truck (ML-04A-7212) robbed a driver, Kuma Chettri of a music system fitted in his truck (AS-01-DD-3037) at Lad College By-pass, Jowai (WJH).
lOn June 21 midnight, unknown miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML-10A-4073) belonging to one L. Momin from Pillangkata (RB).
lH. Bareh, EE (C), the Myntdu-Leska Civil Division-V, lodged a complaint that on June 20, unknown miscreants broke into his office room and stole one diesel pump valued around Rs. 30,000.
lOn June 20 night, unknown miscreants stole the engine valued around Rs. 1,90,000 of a new motorcycle belonging to one Abu Sayed Sarkar from his garage at Gudiyamath, Tura (WGH).
Torture
One Uma Kar lodged a complaint that since her marriage to Dulal Kar in 2008, her husband has been mentally and physically torturing her and on June 22 around 10 am, he assaulted and threatened her with dire consequences.
Missing vehicle
One Sundeswar Yadav lodged a complaint that on April 18, his driver Rohul Amin took his truck (ML-09-7912) from Damas (EGH) and has not returned since then.
