SHILLONG: Malki rose from the ashes after handing Pohkseh a two-goal deficit to draw 3-3 in their U-19 Premiere League tie on Wednesday. Despite conceding an early 14th minute lead through Malki’s Fernando Shadap, Pohkseh looked in full control of the first half. Mickyson Tynsong was Pohkseh’s star of the day scoring two goals in the 24th and 33rd minutes.

Early in the second half, Andy Mawthoh added one more to Pohkseh’s goal tally for a strong lead.

However, Malki came back hard and dominated the remainder of the match. Blessing Pamthied found the net in the 62nd minute to bring down the lead for Malki. The equaliser came in the 83rd minute when Preciousland took a corner before a Pohkseh defender headed the ball into his own goal.

On Thursday, Nangkiew Irat will face off against Mawlai at 4 pm. A win for Nangkiew will ensure them a spot in the final two.
