Survey

The Urban Affairs Department has informed that the state government is undertaking survey of manual scavengers and insanitary toilets in the areas falling in all municipalities, cantonment board and the town committee of Nongstoin, Mairang and Nongpoh. The survey has started and will complete on August 28.

Programme

The Bureau of Parliamentary studies and training (BPST), Lok Sabha Secretariat, New Delhi and the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly secretariat is organising a two-day orientation programme for media persons from Meghalaya on July 4 and 5 in the conference hall of the Assembly Hostel, Shillong.

Half marathon

The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs will conduct the Shillong Half Marathon challenge on July 6 for the indigenous inhabitant of Meghalaya under 25 years of age for both men and women to select runners for Delhi Half marathon.
