Prog on malaria prevention held

 NONGSTOIN: As part of the anti malaria month campaign, the District Vector borne diseases control society, West Khasi Hills conducted a rally cum awareness programme on malaria to school children, opinion leaders ASHAs and teachers recently at St. John Higher Secondary School Rambrai.

The rally was flagged off by KP Pangniang MLA Rambrai Jyrngam Constituency in the presence of Ex MDC J T S Thongni, Dr. P Lyngkhoi DM&RO, West Khasi Hills and Dr. WW Phira DMO West Khasi Hills.

KP Pangniang, MLA, dwelled on the problem caused by malaria in his constituency. He encouraged the school students to learn more about malaria and its prevention and control and to spread the message in their home town.
