TURA: West Garo Hills police arrested two GNLA cadres and a over ground worker from Kherapara area on Saturday night and seized two pistols.
GNLA cadre Jintu R Marak (19) hailing from Chokpot was caught from near Kherapara around 6 PM. From his possession police recovered one 7.65 pistol with five live rounds of ammunition.
An over ground supporter of the outfit identified as Nirmal Ch Momin (18) hailing from Momegre village was also arrested with the cadre.
Following a lead on Jintu’s arrest police teams raided another village of Kherapara known as Ontapara and nabbed GNLA cadre Bilsrang Marak (19), a resident of Gasuapara,and confiscated another 7.65 pistol.
