HANM chief arrested

 SHILLONG: Police on Wednesday arrested the HANM president Lamphrang Kharbani for allegedly offering money to a lady in exchange of her 13-year-old daughter for his gratification.

Police arrested Kharbani on the basis of an FIR filed by the lady. The accused is expected to be produced in court on Thursday.

Last year, Kharbani was arrested for illegal possession of arms which he had bought from a group of robbers.
