High Court clarifies

 SHILLONG: The Registrar General of the High Court of Meghalaya has clarified that the court has not yet admitted the petition of Chandra Mohan Jha who has moved the High Court of Meghalaya challenging the recommendation of the outgoing Governor RS Mooshahary to dissolve the CMJ University.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Registrar General of High Court of Meghalaya said that the matter relates to a Writ Petition No WP(C) [SH] 178/2013, in which the High Court vide order dated 25/6/2013, has passed an order specifically referring to the special leave to appeal(SLP) (Civil) No (S) 19617 which is pending in the Apex Court and accordingly it was held that the instant Writ Petition will be taken up after 15 July 2013.

“Therefore its stands to reason that the said Petition has not yet been admitted,” the statement added.
