Imphal: The Manipur Public Servants’ Personal Liability Amendment Bill, 2013, was passed by the state assembly on Thursday.

Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said the act was enacted to provide for personal liability of public servants to stop creation of unauthorised liability through irregular actions in the form of appointment or engagement of contracts, award of work signing and execution of contracts, providing grants and other acts and recovery of the amount from the personal incomes including salary of the public servants.(UNI)
