Shillong: The East Khasi Hills District Level Committee on Crime and Violence against Women held a meeting on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal in his office chamber.
The meeting was attended by the Superintendent of Police, District Social Welfare, District Medical Health Officer, District Child Protection, District Information & Public Relations, District Social Education, the Meghalaya State Commission for Women and the North East Network.
In the meeting, several cases related to crime and violence against women which was presented by the Police Department.
The committee also dwelled at length on the core issue relating to pending cases in the court and also decided to monitor the status of registered cases.
