Training prog for silks artisans starts

NONGPOH: In order to enhance the skills of the artisans in the district, the Centre for Art & Cultural Exchange (CACE) in collaboration with the Meghalaya Basin Development Unit, Ri Bhoi District launched the 15 day long training programme in Eri Silk Looms for Rose and Lotus Groups in Khweng Village under Raid Iapngar, Ri Bhoi District this afternoon.

The programme was inaugurated by J U Kharpuri, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District in the presence of Deinie Tariang, District Handloom Officer among other dignitaries.
