2 State boys make U-16 SAFF squad

SHILLONG: The squad for the U-16 South Asian Football Federation championship, to be held in Nepal from July 20, was announced on Tuesday. The squad, which leaves for Kathmandu on Thursday, includes two boys from Meghalaya.

Squad: Goalkeepers: Anuj Kumar, Subrata Das, M Dheeraj Singh (Manipur). Defenders: M Jayananda Singh (Manipur), Jerry Lalrinzuala (Mizoram), T Kishan Singh (Manipur), Prosenjit Chakraborty, Amit Tudu, Nuruddin, Amey Ranawade. Midfielders: Bodo Baoringdao (Assam), Kyntiew Kharlukhi (Meghalaya), Surya Tirkey, Zonunmawia (Mizoram), Anirudh Thapa, D Singh Negi, Aaron Rodrigues, Chanmitre Thma (Meghalaya). Forwards: L Bedashwor Singh (Manipur), Sourav Chakraborty, Edmund Lalrindika (Mizoram), Krishna Pandit, Mohammed Hasil.
