ACCIDENTS ACROSS STATE

lThree people sustained injuries when the truck (AS15C – 2814) they were travelling on from Paikan in Assam to Jengal overturned on a turning after the driver lost control of the vehicle at Rongbengre under Dadenggre Block, West Garo Hills on July 18 at 5.58am. The injured persons were identified as Emanul Islam (29/M), Amer Hussain (32/M) and Jzaidul Islam (30/M).

lA motorist sustained injuries after falling off from the scooter at the market place in Madanriting, Shillong on July 17 at 8:33 P.M. The motorist was identified as Iamutlang Khonglam (24/M).

lAnother motorist sustained injuries when the motorbike was involved in a collision with a truck on a turning at Dobu under Songsak Block, East Garo Hills on July 17 at 3:53pm. The motorist, Anthin Marak (22/M) was travelling towards Nengkhra when the incident happened.

lFour people travelling on a tourist taxi sustained injuries when the vehicle was involved in a head on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction near St. Paul School at Mawngap under Mawphlang Block, East Khasi Hills on July 17 at 8:33am. The injured persons have been identified as Jana (52/F), Mekaras Marbaniang (45/M), Basuklang Jana (26/F) and Maxter Kharkangmaw (47/M). The tourist vehicle was heading towards Shillong from Nongthliew when the incident happened.

In all the above cases, the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at the respective locations helped in shifting the injured to various hospitals.
